Privacy

We are a very small operation running a walking game. We collect the least we can, and this page says exactly what that is in plain words rather than in the usual paragraph that means anything.

What we collect

If you join the waitlist: your email address, and the town you told us you would walk in. The town is the reason the form exists — we are a touring show, and it helps decide where a season opens.

If you play: the progress of your case file — which stops you reached, what your team asked the reconstructions, what you put on the warrant, and how it ended. This lives on our server rather than on your phone so that a dead battery or a closed tab loses nothing. It is tied to the link your team was sent, not to a name. There are no accounts and no passwords.

If you buy: payment is handled by Stripe. Your card number never reaches us and we could not see it if we wanted to.

What we do not collect: we do not track you across other websites, we do not run advertising pixels, and we do not buy or sell lists. If your phone shares its location with the game, that reading tells you whether you are standing in the right place. It is not kept as a movement history.

Who else touches it

Only the services that make the thing run: Supabase stores the case files, Vercel serves the site, Anthropic generates what the reconstructions say, Telnyx carries text messages, and Stripe takes payment. Each sees only the part it needs, and none of them are given your data for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

Waitlist entries stay until you ask us to remove them, or until we stop running seasons. Case files are kept so you can reopen your own file after the night. Ask, and we will delete yours.

Asking us to delete it

Write to us and say so. We will do it, and we will not make you explain why or click through four screens to confirm. Every message we send has a way out of the list in it.

Children

This is an adult story about a killing, walked in a downtown after dark. It is not built for children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it, and anyone on the waitlist hears about it.
